The main unit cartridges contain a proprietary formulation of an ammonia-saturated salt that stores ammonia with high capacity and releases it in the system on demand.
 

Once used on the vehicles, cartridges will be replaced with full cartridges during a regular car service and are therefore designed for easy handling and replacement.
 

The cartridges are made in a solid construction of either stainless steel or aluminium. A cartridge is equipped with handles, and the quick-connector with shut-off valve is placed protected from shocks and strokes.
 

They are not classified as hazardous goods, and they can be stacked for transport or long-term storage without risk of damage.
 

The cartridges are designed in three sizes: A ~4-litre cartridge in a modular system for smaller cars, a 9-litre cartridge for large cars and SUVs, and a unit for trucks of about 11 litres.
 

The cartridges can be tailored to meet specific customer needs.
